Hilton Palacio del Rio – Phase 1

Completed in the unprecedented time frame of 202 days, this 500 room, luxury hotel is a World Record holder in construction. For its first major renovation, Zachry Construction selected Douglas Architects to lead the design and construction effort. The project consisted of the interior renovation of all guest rooms, corridors and elevator lobbies. Douglas worked with the hotel’s interior designer, Chase Collaborative, as well as Zachry’s hand-selected consultants, directing the effort to complete the renovation efficiently and cost effectively.

Douglas Architects provided full design services for this phase of the project and the second phase, which consisted of the renovation of the ballrooms and meeting rooms, as well as design services for the overall master plan of the Hotel, the design of the Riverwalk entry and outdoor restaurant patio area.
