Broadway Bank

Established in 1941, Broadway Bank is the largest, independently-owned bank headquartered in San Antonio. For this high-profile project, Broadway looked for a design solution that would respect the institution’s traditions while conveying a progressive tone.

Douglas Architects, Inc. was hired by the bank to redesign the entire ground floor of the corporate headquarters. Program spaces include retail banking, private client services, the main entry lobby, as well as a state-of-the-art conference meeting room whose furnishings can be rearranged to meet the bank’s needs. The design embraced the building’s 1950’s International Style architecture, while providing innovative design features which used lighting, glazing and materials. Services included pre-design, full architectural design services, interiors and furniture selection.
