To upgrade their presence at Port San Antonio, Boeing added two important components to its facilities. Douglas Architects was hired to provide full architectural services, including interiors, for a new secure entry facility and a new cafeteria building.
The secure entry building included a freestanding guard booth and chicane, with secure turn around. The new security building housed a check in/badging counter and waiting area, office space for security personnel, a “black box” secure storage room, conference rooms, as well as a break area and rest rooms.
