TBA was selected to design a new student event center for the University of Louisiana at Monroe. The new event center, located in the previous natatorium building, is one of the campus’ focal points, featuring a large dome structure that serves as the campus light post. At more than 45,000 SF, the student center also serves as a banquet space. The facility includes a multi-purpose area for spirit group practice and events, a small theatre space for student entertainment, a warming kitchen for banquet events, and a covered porch and open amphitheater—both overlooking the bayou.
